Dr. Kristy Hollingshead  is a Research Scientist at the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC), working on natural language processing.  Hollingshead’s current research focuses on the analysis of everyday language — what we say and how we say it — as a signal of mental and neurological health.


Rachael Tatman is a PhD Candidate and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Washington. Tatman's research is primarily in the areas of computational sociophonetics and sign linguistics.


Dr. Bonnie Webber  is a Lecturer in Informatics at Edinburgh.  Webber works on discourse phenomena, collaborating on the development and use of the Penn Discourse TreeBank, and is also interested in discourse in the context of machine translation and the stability of language technology tools across changes in genre.


Julian Hitschler  is a graduate student research assistant at the Institut für Computerlinguistik, Universität Heidelberg.  Hitschler is interested in online learning, learning from weak feedback for structured, statistical machine translation, cross-lingual information retrieval, multimodality, and grounding. 


Dr. Jathan Sadowski  is a Visiting Lecturer in Ethics of Technology at TU Delft (The Netherlands).  Sadowski's research is focused on the intersection of (information) technology, political economy, and social theory.
